{"id":854,"date":"2022-03-24T12:54:09","date_gmt":"2022-03-24T12:54:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eka-hosp.gr\/?post_type=ignition-service&#038;p=854"},"modified":"2022-03-28T06:15:55","modified_gmt":"2022-03-28T06:15:55","slug":"social-service","status":"publish","type":"ignition-service","link":"https:\/\/eka-hosp.gr\/en\/service\/social-service\/","title":{"rendered":"Social Service"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The social service in E.K.A.&nbsp;provides psychosocial support to the patient and his\/her family during their stay in the center in order to accept and deal with their current situation by using their potential for a successful social reintegration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our department is addressed to inpatients and outpatients.&nbsp;There are also cases of physically disabled people who come to \u200b\u200bour facilities, for assessment of social needs, information and referral to other services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;In short, our main aims are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Initial contact, communication with the acute care facilites.<\/li><li>First contact with the new patient, identifying &nbsp;the projected problems, taking a social background history, identifying &nbsp;urgent intervention.<\/li><li>Psychosocial evaluation of the person with mobility problems and assessment of family dynamics.<\/li><li>Participation in the weekly medical visits in the clinics.<\/li><li>Join the rehabilitation team.<\/li><li>Counseling support for the physically disabled and the family, throughout the rehabilitation program.<\/li><li>Information about the existing resources of the community, about the programs of social policy, vocational rehabilitation, social reintegration and patient\u2019s rights (benefits, pensions, allowance policy).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Collaboration with public providers of Welfare and Health services (eg Hospitals, OAED, Special Schools, Universities, Local Government)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Information on the operation of E.K.A.&nbsp;to educational institutions, to bodies of Local Self-Government, etc.<\/li><li>Education of students of the University of West Attica (PADA)<\/li><li>Handling correspondence for admission of patients from remote areas.<\/li><li>Undertakes the admission process to Institutions of Chronically Ill or Chronic Diseases Clinics of EOPYY for needy and lonely patients etc.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Contact telephones: 2132015181-184<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The social service in E.K.A.&nbsp;provides psychosocial support to the patient and his\/her family during their stay in the center in [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":704,"template":"","ignition_service_category":[43],"class_list":["post-854","ignition-service","type-ignition-service","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","ignition_service_category-services-of-other-departments"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/eka-hosp.gr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ignition-service\/854","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/eka-hosp.gr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ignition-service"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/eka-hosp.gr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/ignition-service"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/eka-hosp.gr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/704"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/eka-hosp.gr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=854"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"ignition_service_category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/eka-hosp.gr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ignition_service_category?post=854"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
